Who we are
Equation Recruitment Limited is a UK registered recruitment consultancy with Australian operations based in Varsity Lakes. We provide professional search, selection, and headhunting services. Our job is to identify and introduce the right people for the roles you need to fill. We act with integrity and care at every step.

When these terms apply
These terms apply when you ask us for candidates, receive candidate details from us, interview a candidate we introduce, or engage a candidate we introduce. Any change to these terms must be agreed in writing before we proceed.

We do not guarantee future performance or retention.
Final hiring decisions rest with you.
Our fee structure
Our fee is a percentage of the candidate’s total first year guaranteed remuneration. This includes base salary, superannuation, guaranteed allowances and any fixed benefits. Fees are exclusive of GST.
Salary band AUD Fee
0 to 79,999 15%
80,000 to 149,999 17%
150,000 and above 20%
We invoice on the candidate’s start date
Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
Late payments may accrue interest at 2% per month until paid
Free replacement guarantee.
If the candidate leaves within 12 weeks of starting, we will run a free replacement once, provided that:
You paid the original invoice within 14 days
You tell us in writing within seven days of the candidate leaving
The role, location, reporting line and package are unchanged
This guarantee does not apply to redundancy, restructure, or a material change to the role. If we do not find a suitable replacement within 30 days, no refund is due.
Introductions and confidentiality
Candidate information is confidential and provided for your internal hiring only. If a candidate we introduce is engaged by you or by a related third party within 12 months of our first introduction, our full fee is payable.
Exclusivity and retained search
If we agree an exclusive or retained assignment, we will confirm this in writing. During the exclusivity period you will not engage other recruiters or advertise the role directly.
Liability
We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or expense arising from a candidate’s acts or omissions after they start. Our total liability in connection with an engagement is capped at the fees you have paid to us for that engagement.
Privacy and data protection
We handle personal information lawfully and with care. We collect, store, share, and delete candidate data in line with Australian privacy requirements. If you need specific wording for vendor onboarding or security questionnaires, we are happy to provide it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
Acceptance of terms
By requesting candidate details, interviewing an introduced candidate, or engaging an introduced candidate, you accept these terms in full.
